U9Y5Under 9 Youth's Cougars Youth 2 Hart Hurricanes 1 The boys hosted Hurricanes desperate for a win after 3 straight defeats. The boys started well with Archie causing the visitors some problems with some good runs down the left. Most of the play was taking place in the visitors half but the boys were unable to create any clear chances. On the odd occasion we got behind them their keeper was equal to the task. The visitors went in front totally against the run of play when the visitors pounced on a loose ball and hit a shot from the edge of the area which hit the inside of the post and despite a valiant effort from Ben crossed the line. This seemed to rock the boys and for a couple of minutes it looked like we could slip further behind but some excellent defending by Luke, Charlie & Callum kept the visitors out. Towards the end of the half we found our way again and forced several corners that we were unable to convert. Luke almost scored when he hit a fierce shot just over the bar. Half time 0-1.The second half was very much like the first with Cougars forcing the play but being unable to create any clear chances. We seemed to get the ball in and around the visitors box but we unable to get any shots away. Jack almost scored with a shot on the turn that hit the post. Chris went close with a volley straight from a corner that went just over. At the other end Chris and Callum were in superb form winning every tackle and making some good asses as well.A much deserved equaliser came when Archie found some space in the area and hit a low shot that slipped through the keepers legs. Lorenzo urged the boys on looking for a winner. Chris was tormenting the visitors with some skilful dribbling. A long shot looked to be going in but was somehow deflected wide. With time fast running out the boys grabbed a winner. Chris & Callum put pressure on the visitors and won the ball, Chris switched it to the right and found Jack who outpaced a defender but in doing so took the ball wide and the chance seemed to have gone but he somehow hit a low fierce shot that flew in the net to give the boys all 3 points.A well deserved win for the boys today. They all put a lot of effort in today and got the win that their efforts deserved. Best effort went to Callum who didn’t stop running all game. Man of the match went to Charlie who didn’t put a foot wrong all game.SquadBen, Charlie, Luke, Callum, Paolo, Chris, Archie (1), Jack (1) & Matt U9 Youth Home page 31WOKING COUGARSThe Football Family http://www.surreyfa.co.uk/ http://www.splsoccer.com http://www.scgl.co.uk/ http://www.make-a-wish.org.uk/ http://www.wphfc.co.uk http://www.jalosty.co.uk http://www.psrcoaching.co.ukThis website was created using MAGIX Website Maker You will need the current version of Adobe Flash Player to view it.
