U9 Youth Match Reports

Woking Cougars Youth u9s vs. Molesey Juniors Kestrels - 02/10/11Wow ! What a great match this was.....Cougars Youth's first home game of the season and Molesey started off quickly, looking in the mood for a win but Cormac kept them at bay with a good save from kick-off. Friday night training had obviously paid off for Cougars as we held our shape and positions much better than previous weeks and kept hassling Molesey for the ball.The opener went to Molesey but Cougars were straight back at them, with shots coming from Alex and Christian. Then from a corner, Alex scored Cougars equaliser.Woking looked a little uncertain at times in defence towards the end of the first half and went in at the break trailing 3-1.What a start to the second half, with what has to be one of the quickest Cougars goals scored ! Great pace from Richard as he thumped the ball home within a minute of the re-start to bring the scoreline back to 2-3.Joe, Reece and Gautam all defended well in the second half but unfortunately a few mix-ups from goal kicks lead to the final score of Cougars 2, Molesey 5.Man of The Match this week went to Joe Sole.Well played boys - this was a fantastic game and showed that there is great promise in the squad.
