Alex Griffin was our first half keeper and he was unlucky when the ball skimmed low and bounced unkindly for Catalans opening goal. Andrew Hague showed his consistency in defence by chasing back and doing his best to keep Knaphill at bay but a quick break from a throw-in gave Knaphill a two goal lead. At times, Cougars were a little hesistant in their tackles leading to Knaphill having the run of the first half, which ended Knaphill Catalans 3, Cougars 0.The second half bought about some new confidence in Cougars, with Cormac going in goal and Alex Griffin returning to attack, joined by Christian Danton who was making his first start for Woking.With their heads up, Cougars played much better - 'Mac saving numerous Knaphill attacks on his goal. Upfront, Alex and Christian showed their pace and Cougars came close to scoring on several occasion towards the end of the game.The final score was Catalans 5, Cougars 0 with our Man of The Match going to Gautam. Woking Cougars came home with a 5-0 victory just like Manchester United! How good is that? Also a well deserved MOTM Jamie.
