U9 Colts M1

U9 Colts Match Reports

Woking Cougars Colts U9 began their 2011-2012 season with a thumping 5-0 victory over Kempton Park Lions, in Feltham. Colts began the game slowly with Kempton having nearly all of the possession. Outstanding goalkeeping from William, one of our new players, kept us in the game. After that the tempo of the game got higher and we seemed to get better. Following a few chances, came the goal. A top-draw finish from Max put us 1-0 ahead. Once we scored the first goal, the goals just kept on coming. Max scored his second goal of the game, once again from outside the area, to make it 2-0. A few minutes later Jake added himself to the scoresheet by tapping it in from a low corner. So 3-0 cougars now and it stayed that way until half time.Colts started the second half the way they finished the first and it paid off. Following a superb run down the left wing by Jamie, another one of our new players, he found Max whose shot was saved. Thankfully there was Jake to tap in the rebound, 4-0 to the Colts. After that the tempo of the game went down and we had to wait till right at the end of the match for another goal. Eventually it came, thanks to Eddie, who put the cherry on the cake by making it 5-0 with a tremendous individual goal. Shortly after the goal the full-time whistle blew and a final result of Woking Cougars Colts 5 Kempton Park Lions 0. Woking Cougars came home with a 5-0 victory just like Manchester United! How good is that? Also a well deserved MOTM Jamie.
