Sunday 16 OctoberSurrey Premier League U11Woking Cougars Youth 5 Lyne Lions 0Another sunny mild day with the pitch firm, the starting line up Callum; Adam AJ Jack P Lewis; Sid Aidan Jack Jamie; Benn OwenAnd 3 subs so another full squad present and correct. Cougars were quick out the blocks again with Aidan with a good turn and shot and Benn having an effort cleared off the line. Callum then made a save for a corner and Lyne had some pressure from 2 corners before the ball was cleared. Sid then put in a good cross before AJ had to clear and Callum had to produce some safe handling. Cougars took a corner which Owen hit well and it went right across the penalty area. Cougars then had some good pressure, Jamie had an effort cleared from the middle of the goal, an Aidan effort cleared off the line, another Jamie effort off the line and bar with Lewis having a long range shot. Aidan was all hustle and harrying in midfield. George came on for Benn who picked up a knock. Owen opened the scoring with a good goal cutting in from the left hand side of the pitch to score. Aidan then scored a wonder goal beating 2 players before finishing well. Harry came on for Jack P and Martin came on for Lewis. Callum was kicking a big distance from his hands and AJ was cutting out a lot of forward passes. Aidan produced a great shot and great save before excellent covering by Martin to keep Lyne from scoring. Jack M missed a good opportunity just before the half time whistle blew, 2-0 at the break.Second half team; Callum; Adam AJ Harry Martin; Sid Jack M Aidan Lewis; Owen GeorgeCougars started the second half with a goal. Aidan won the ball and Owen chased the pass not giving it up and made it to the byline to cross for a George tap in. Owen had a close range shot followed up by Callum with some safe handling. Lewis had a great pull back where Jack M nipped in front of the keeper to set Owen up for 4-0. AJ was having a super game tidying up. Owen and AJ off, Jack P and Benn on. George was fouled and Lewis went close with the free kick. Sid scored the 5th staying strong after a good pass from Benn given the ball by hard work by Aidan. Strong tackling by Adam restricted their quick forwards. Jamie came on for Sid and Lewis swapped wings. Callum made a good clearance followed by safe handling. Lyne then had all out pressure, Harry headed over his own bar, an almighty scramble ended in a goal kick, Adam made an important clearance, Jack P twice cleared from 2 corners, the boys desperate to keep a clean sheet. Jack M off Owen on, Harry shot wide (explaining at the time he is a centre half!), Lewis all action on a run ending up head over heels as he ran out of space. Final whistle goes.Moment of the match: Benn for his excellent pass to Sid for a goal.Man of the match: AJ for doing all the right things and playing with his head up
